Accessories
Busck offers a wide range of electric motors, alternators, frequency inverters, worm gears, gear motors and coolant pumps. Of course, we also have accessories for these.
Busck motor protectors
Busck motor protectors are a complete protection with many possibilities. Type ESM 1 protects the motor against phase failure, overload and short circuit. The motor protector can also be used for starting and stopping the motor manually.
ESM 1 is built up of a modular system with the motor protector as base. It can then be completed with housing IP41 or IP55, under voltage protector, auxiliary breakers and so on. The motor protector is at 400V intrinsically safe up to 6,3 A.
Busck Forced Ventilation Units
Busck forced ventilation units are available in sizes 63-355. They are mainly used on inverter driven motors to provide sufficient cooling at low speeds. The original fan cover is exchanged to the forced ventilation unit and the original fan is removed.
Busck forced ventilation units are available for motor types MS/ME an TA.
Kurt Maier Forced Ventilation Units
Forced ventilation units fits to electric motors from Brook Crompton.
They are mainly used on inverter driven motors to provide sufficient cooling at low speeds. The original fan cover is exchanged to the forced ventilation unit and the original fan is removed. As standard the forced ventilation units are fitted with a two-pole motor, IP55 and insulation F. Size 63 is equipped with a single-phase motor while other sizes have a three-phase motor. These can also be connected single phase by connecting a capacitor.
The forced ventilation units can be supplied with various extensions to fit motors with e.g. brake, tachometer or encoder.
Encoder Kit for Brook Crompton motors
Encoders are used in applications that require monitoring or control of motor speed or position. It is mounted on the motor non drive end shaft. Encoders are available with various number of pulses per revolution depending on required accuracy.
This kit includes encoder, forced ventilation and thermistors. Assembly is done in our workshop. As standard we use encoders type RI76‑TD brand Hengstler.
- 2048 pulses per revolution
- Signal RS422
- Voltage 10–30 V DC
- With cable and 12-pole
- Alternative models can be used
Delivery time: Up to motor frame 250 one week, larger frames four weeks.
Busck Slide Rails
Slide rails are available for motor frames 63-355 and are used where an adjustable motor mounting is required.
Indirect drive
Slide rails makes correct adjustment of belt tension at indirectly driven applications possible. This will decrease the risk for bearing failure. Efficiency at belt drive may be improved by avoiding slipping belts and to high friction.
Direct drive
Slide rails will make dismantling of couplings simple at direct drive. It is very important that the motor and driven equipment is in line to avoid bearing failure.
Busck slide bases
A slide base is equipped with an adjustment screw to move the motor. When the motor and slide base is mounted for the first time they must be properly aligned. It is important to mount motor and slide base inline to avoid bearing failure.
The slide base will then make future belt change easy since the alignment is already done. At indirect drive the slide base will make it easy to adjust belt tension which will decrease the risk for bearing failure. Avoiding slippering belts and to high friction will also improve efficiency at belt drive. At direct drive a slide base will facilitate dismantling of couplings.
Thermistor Protection TER-7
The relay energises immediately on application of the desired supply voltage. If an over-temperature condition occurs it is detected by the thermistor and the relay is de-energised, breaking the control circuit and thus switching off the supply to the motor.
